Install the Basic PHS Service
<p>If you select PHS after the <strong>Security Service</strong> in the <strong>Security Configuration</strong> area when creating the ECS of the cloud server, the system will install PHS for you by default and start the basic class PHS service. If you choose not to need, you can install and open the basic class PHS service through the following methods.</p>
<p><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></p>
<p>1. Currently, only the operating system Linux is supported by PHS service.</p>
<p>2. When you purchase ECS for cloud servers, you can choose whether to install PHS according to your actual needs. After the installation, the basic version service is provided, and the login security detection function is provided for free to ensure the security of your server. If you choose not to need PHS, Ping An Cloud will not bear the security risks arising therefrom.</p>
<p>3. If you need PHS Professional Edition service, you can purchase it on the PHS Product page.</p>
<p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p>
<p>1.You have successfully created an ECS instance for the Linux operating system. For more information, see the Linux Quick Start for Create an Instance.</p>
<p>2.The ECS is turned on, and the ECS that has been turned off cannot install basic class PHS service.</p>
<p><strong>Procedures</strong></p>
<p>1.Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p>
<p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p>
<p>3.Select the target region and click the name of the target instance to enter the <strong>Instance Information</strong> page.</p>
<p>4.Switch to the <strong>Security</strong> tab, and click <strong>Uninstall</strong> after the <strong>Security Service</strong>.</p>
<p>5.The page jumps to the <strong>Ping An Host Security</strong> console.</p>
<p>6.On the <strong>Server List</strong> page, find the target ECS instance, then click <strong>Install Plug-in</strong> in the target instance ECS instance operation column.</p>
<p>7.In the dialog box that opens, click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Note:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Do not shut down during the PHS service of the basic class. After completing the installation, you will get PHS security testing services.</li>
<li>After installing the basic version of the PHS service, you can click on the server <strong>Intranet/Internet IP</strong> address to view the server security status details, including: login records, brute force identification, etc.</li>
<li>If you need to check whether the cloud host configuration is safe according to industry best practices, you can click the baseline check <strong>Baseline Check</strong> in the target server operation column, and you will receive a reminder when you find a risk item.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Result</strong></p>
<p>After the installation is successfully started, you will see an <strong>Operation Succeeded</strong> message at the bottom of the server list page, the target instance Agent status becomes <strong>Starting</strong>. After the completion of the startup, the status becomes <strong>Normal</strong>.</p>
