Upload a Custom Image

<p>This article describes how to upload a created custom template.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1.For more information, see Create a Custom Image with Packer in the Best Practice. If you skip this step, ECS functions will be affected.</p> <p>2.Open OBS and upload the custom image to OBS. Be careful when you select the region and make sure&nbsp; the image template uploading region and the OBS uploading region are the same. For more information, see OBS Quick Start.</p> <p><strong>Note</strong>: There are different availability zones in one region, and images in different zones cannot be used repeatedly.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Images and Snapshots </strong>&gt; <strong>Image</strong> to enter the <strong>Image</strong> page.</p> <p>3.Select the target region, click the <strong>Custom Images </strong>tab, and click <strong>Upload</strong> in the upper-right corner.&nbsp;</p> <p>4.Then you will enter the <strong>Upload Image</strong> page, upload image as described in the following table.</p> <table border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Configuration item</strong></p> </td> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Description</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>URL</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Download URL in the OBS Console where image files are stored.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Name</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>The custom name set by users.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Description</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Users&#39; description of the image.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Availability zone</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select an availability zone. It&rsquo;s used for MD5 computing.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>You can view the custom image just uploaded in the image list. After the status changes from <strong>Creating</strong> to <strong>Available</strong>, the custom image has been uploaded.</p>
