Release the Windows Instance

<p>If you do not need an ECS instance in your business, you can release it. The instance will not be billed after release.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The ECS instance you purchased is &nbsp;stopped. For more information, see Stop ECS.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The instance does not have associated components such as associated EIP, EBS, or security groups.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Log in to<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Select the target region. In the operation column of the target instance, click <strong>More &gt; Status Management &gt; Release.</strong></p> <p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the dialog box of <strong>Release Instance</strong> that opens, click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the dialog box of <strong>Sure to delete related Resources </strong>that opens, click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the dialog box of <strong>Verification Code</strong> that opens, enter the verification code received on your cellphone, and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>Once the instance is released, you cannot view the target instance on the Instance Management page.</p>
