Create a Timing Task

<p>Timing tasks support startup and shutdown tasks. You can make related settings according to your business needs. After the settings are completed and bound to instances, the timing tasks will be executed at the time you set. This article describes how to create scheduled startup or shutdown tasks.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="#https://pinganyun.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank">ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click the <strong>Timing Task</strong> to enter the <strong>Timing Task</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Select the target region and in the upper-right corner, click <strong>+ Create</strong>.</p> <p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the <strong>Timing Task</strong> page that opens, create a timing task as described in the following table.</p> <table border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Configuration item</strong></p> </td> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Description</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Timing Task Type</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>You can choose to start or stop =a timing task.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Timing Mode</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>You can select timing mode once or periodically.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Scheduled Date</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select a recurring date.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Scheduled Time</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select a scheduled time.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Period of Validity</p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>If you select periodicity for timing mode, you need to limit the validity period. The timing task will be executed within the validity period. After the validity period expires, the timing task will no longer be executed.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>After completing the creation, you will see an <strong>Operation succeeded</strong> message at the bottom of the <strong>Timing Task</strong> page, and you can view the information about the timing task just created on the <strong>Timing Task</strong> page.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
