Add a NIC to a Security Group

<p><strong>Add Main NIC (NIC0) to Security Group</strong></p> <p>This article describes how to add the main NIC, namely NIC0 to a security group.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>You have successfully created a security group. For more information, see Create.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p><strong>Method one:</strong></p> <p>1.Log in to the <a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank">ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3.Select the target region and click the name of target instance to enter the <strong>Instance </strong><strong>Information</strong> page.</p> <p>4.On the <strong>Network</strong> tab, at the right side of the <strong>NIC0</strong> area, click <strong>Add to Security Group</strong>.</p> <p>5.On the <strong>Add to Security Group</strong> page that opens, scroll to select a security group.</p> <p>6.Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Note</strong>: When it is added to a security group, you can also click <strong>Remove from Security Group</strong> to remove it from the security group.</p> <p><strong>Method two:</strong></p> <p>1.Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Networks</strong> &gt; <strong>Security Group</strong> to enter the<strong> Security Group</strong> page.</p> <p>3.Select the target region and click the name of the target security group.</p> <p>4.On the <strong>Security Group information</strong> page, click <strong>Add</strong>.</p> <p>5.On the <strong>Binding</strong> page that opens, select the target ECS instance.</p> <p>6.Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Adding an instance to a security group equals to adding NIC0 to a security group.</li> <li>On the <strong>ECS Instance</strong> tab, you can delete the bound instance to remove NIC0 from the security group.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>You can view the security group just added to on the <strong>Instance Information</strong> page in the NIC0 section. You can also view the bound instance on the <strong>ECS Instance</strong> tab on the <strong>Security Group Information</strong> page.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Add an Added NIC (NIC1) to Security Group</strong></p> <p>This article describes how to add an added NIC, namely NIC1 to a security group.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3.Select the target region and click the name of target instance to enter the Instance<strong> Information</strong> page.</p> <p>4.On the <strong>Network</strong> tab, at the right side of the <strong>NIC1</strong> area, click <strong>Add to Security Group</strong>.</p> <p>5.On the <strong>Add to Security Group</strong> page that opens, scroll to select a security group.</p> <p>6.Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>You can view the security group just added to on the <strong>Instance Information</strong> page in the NIC1 area.</p>
