Create a NAS Volume

<p>This article describes how to create a NAS volume.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>You have created and configured Linux-based or Windows-based ECS.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management </strong>page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Click the target instance name to enter the<strong> Instance Information</strong> page.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; Click the <strong>CloudNAS</strong> tab.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; Click <strong>Create CloudNAS</strong> to enter the <strong>Create</strong> <strong>Volume </strong>page.</p> <p>6.&nbsp; On the<strong> Create Volume </strong>page, create a NAS volume as described in the following table.</p> <table border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Configuration item</strong></p> </td> <td style="background-color:#ededed; vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Description</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Region</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select the region for the NAS volume to be created.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong></p> <p>The selected region must be the same region where ECS was created.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Availability zone</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select an availability zone in the region.</p> <p>NAS volumes and compute nodes in different availability zones but in the same region are in connection with each other.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Create data protection volume</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>When there are multiple availability zones in one region, creating a data protection volume can enable remote disaster recovery, so that data can be stored in different availability zones for redundant backup. This process is automated by the system and requires nohuman effort.</p> <p>When a data protection volume is created, you need to configure backup availability zones in the same region.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Protocol type</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>The following two types of protocol are supported:</p> <p>Ÿ&nbsp;&nbsp; CIFS for Windows-based ECS access.</p> <p>Ÿ&nbsp;&nbsp; NFS for Linux-based ECS access.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Storage type</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Select the regular or massive storage type based on the files to be stored.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Capacity</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Fill in the capacity of the file system based on actual storage requirements, and the capacity ranges from 50 to 65536 GB.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p><strong>Authorization</strong></p> </td> <td style="vertical-align:top"> <p>Add authorized ECS instances. The corresponding file system can only be mounted to an authorized ECS instance.</p> <p>Click <strong>+Add Instance</strong>,<strong> </strong>select and check authorized instances in <strong>ECS</strong> list and <strong>BMS</strong> list, and read and write permissions are set by default. Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p>7.&nbsp; Upon completion, filled configuration information will be displayed on the <strong>Configuration list </strong>at the right side. Click <strong>Purchase</strong> after check the information.</p> <p>8.&nbsp; Entering order confirmation page, click <strong>Confirm Open</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>A page will open to suggest successful payment.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
