Mount an EBS Disk

<p>This article describes the instructions for mounting an EBS disk, helping you understand how to mount an EBS disk to an instance.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1.To mount an EBS disk, its status must be <strong>To Be Mounted</strong>.</p> <p>2.Only <strong>Running</strong> ECS instances can be mounted with an EBS disk.</p> <p>3.The ECS instance and the EBS disk must be in the same high availability zone.</p> <p><strong>Limitations</strong></p> <p>1.Each ECS instance can be mounted with 6T of EBS.</p> <p>2.Each ECS instance can be mounted with five EBS disks.</p> <p>3.The largest capacity for a single EBS disk is 2000G.</p> <p>4.Pay-by-month EBS disks cannot be created separately.</p> <p><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></p> <p>1.EBS disks created together with ECS instances do not need to be mounted.</p> <p>2.Pay-by-month EBS disks created together with ECS instances cannot be mounted.</p> <p>3.General-type and SSD-type EBS disks cannot be mounted.</p> <p>4.A separately created EBS disk must select a target instance to be mounted to, but the EBS disk does not need to be mounted.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console.</a></p> <p>2.In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3.Select the target region and click the name of target instance to enter the <strong>Instance Information</strong> page.</p> <p>4.On the <strong>Disk</strong> tab, click <strong>Mount</strong>.</p> <p>5.On the <strong>Select EBS</strong> dialog box that opens, select the target disk instance.</p> <p>6.Click <strong>Confirm.</strong></p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> It takes about two to three minutes to mount an EBS disk, and when the mounting is completed, the status becomes <strong>Using</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>When the mounting is completed, you will see a message suggesting successful operation at the bottom of the page, and you can view the EBS disk just mounted on the<strong> Disk</strong> tab.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Subsequent Procedures</strong></p> <p>After the EBS disk is mounted, you need to log in to ECS to initialize the EBS disk.
