<p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have successfully created an ECS instance. For more information, see Create a Linux Instance.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have configured Internet IP. For more information, see Create Internet IP.</p> <p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have configured access rule of IN/OUT of security groups. For more information, see Configure Security Group.</p> <p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Login tool you use should be connected with the ECS that is to be logged in. For example, the default port 22 is not blocked by firewall.</p> <p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your local computer has downloaded PuTTY.</p> <p><strong>Windows OS as Client </strong></p> <p>If your local computer is of Windows operating system, you can log in to the ECS in the way shown as follows. Take PuTTY as an example.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Double-click PuTTY to enter the PuTTY Configuration page.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Configure <strong>Session</strong>.</p> <ul> <li>Host Name (or IP address): Enter the Internet IP address of the ECS instance.</li> <li>Connection type: SSH is selected by default.</li> <li>Saved Session (optional): You can enter a name that is easy to recognize. Click <strong>Save</strong>, so that next time you can enter the login page without entering information again.</li> </ul> <p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Click <strong>Open</strong>.</p> <p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Enter username and password you set when you purchased the ECS instance. If a custom password is not set, you can view the random password in Instance Information in the console.</p> <p><strong>Linux OS as Client</strong></p> <p>If your local computer is Linux OS, you can log in to the ECS by entering command in the command line.</p> <p>Command: ssh <em>ECS Internet IP address</em><em> </em></p>
