<p>If the instance resource is not enough to use, you can upgrade the instance.</p> <p><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></p> <p>1．Only instance specifications can be upgraded. CPU and memory of the instance will be upgraded at the same time rather than upgrading either of them.</p> <p>2．Only instances of different specifications of the same series are supported to upgrade. Instances of standard specifications and of SSD specifications cannot be upgraded to each other.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1．The ECS instance status is stopped. An instance in the status of running or being restarted cannot be upgraded. We recommend that you perform upgrading in low peak of business since stopped instance will interrupt your business. For more information, see Stop an Instance.</p> <p>2．If only instance specifications that is higher than the current configuration can be selected but the current instance specifications is the highest one in the product series, then the instance cannot be upgraded.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1．Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2．In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3．Select the target region. In the operation column of the target instance, click <strong>More &gt; Instance Setting &gt; Upgrade</strong>.</p> <p>4．In the dialog box of <strong>Upgrade Instance Setting</strong> that opens, select the target instance specifications to be upgraded.</p> <p>5．Click <strong>Confirm</strong> to enter the <strong>Order Confirmation</strong> page.</p> <p>6．Click <strong>Confirm Upgrade</strong> to enter <strong>Payment Result</strong> page.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Instance whose CPU is less than 8C cannot be upgraded to specifications that is higher than 8C32G.</li> <li>&nbsp;Instances of different types cannot mutually upgrade.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>Click <strong>Manage</strong> to return to the ECS console. Click name of the target instance, and you can view the upgraded instance type in <strong>Instance Information &gt; Basic Information</strong>.</p>
