<p>A virtual private cloud (VPC) is a private network on the cloud that can be customized by you. Different VPCs are logically isolated from each other. You can create resources such as instances, storage volumes, and databases in a VPC. You can control access in a VPC with security groups and connect the VPC to the Internet through NAT gateways and ELB.
