Set an Instance Tag

You can easily manage RDS MySQL instances via instance tags.

Overview

After an instance is successfully created, the instance name will be automatically generated by the system and cannot be modified. You can quickly find the target instance via an instance tag. A general instance, remote DR instance and read-only instance can be set with a tag.

Prerequisites

Procedures

1.  Log in to the RDS Console.

2.  In the left navigation pane, click RDS-MySQL to enter the DBPaaS for RDS-MySQL page.

3.  Select the target region.

4.  Click  next to the target instance name and enter the Instance Label Modification page to set instance tag.

5.  Fill in the New Label Name and click Save.

    :

    1.  The length of new label name is 1 to 16 characters.

    2.  It can contain uppercase and lowercase letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-) or digits.

    3.  The first character should be a letter.

Result

You will see an Operation succeeded message at the bottom of the page.
