<p>This article describes how to update SSL effective time after SSL encryption is enabled.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <p>You have enabled SSL encryption. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_PostgreSQL.Security_Management.SSL" target="_blank">Enable SSL Encryption</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Updating SSL encryption effective time of general instances will lead to rebooting the general instances created by your account. The remote disaster recovery instances will be rebooted at the same time as you create them.</li> <li>SSL Encryption effective time of read-only instances can be updated independently from that of general instances.</li> <li>SSL Encryption effective time of citywide read-only instances and remote read-only instances can be updated respectively.</li> <li>Updating SSL Encryption effective time of citywide read-only instances only leads to rebooting citywide read-only instances; updating SSL encryption effective time of remote read-only instances only leads to rebooting remote read-only instances.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Procedures</span></strong></p> <ol> <li>Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</li> <li>In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> page.</li> <li>Select the target region.</li> <li>In the <strong>Operation</strong> column of the target instance, click <strong>Manage.</strong> Click <strong>White List</strong> tab.</li> <li>In the <strong>SSL Setting</strong> area, click <strong>Update SSL Effective Time</strong> next to the <strong>Status</strong> to enter the dialog box of <strong>Update SSL Effective Time</strong>.</li> <li>Select the target effective time, and click <strong>Save</strong> to enter the <strong>Verification Code</strong> page.</li> <li>The system will send a verification code to the mobile phone that is bound to the account. Fill in the verification code, and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</li> <li>The <strong>Status</strong> of the target instance is <strong>Pending</strong>.</li> </ol> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Result</span></strong></p> <p>In the <strong>Operation</strong> column of the target instance, click <strong>Manage</strong>. Click <strong>White List</strong> tab. In the <strong>SSL Setting</strong> area, you can view that SSL Encryption is enabled and <strong>Status</strong> is <strong>Encrypted</strong>.
