<p>This article describes how to set time segment.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Overview</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Time segment is the time period during which maintenance operation is conducted by Ping An Cloud backend. The default time segment of the system is 02:00 - 06:00. You can manually adjust it based on the business demand.</li> <li>The <strong>time segment</strong> and <strong>backup startup period</strong> of automatic backup cannot be overlapped. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_PostgreSQL.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>During the time segment, the connection between your applications and database may be interrupted.</li> <li>During the time segment, <strong>modifying the time segment</strong> is not allowed.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Select the target region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; In the <strong>Operations </strong>column of the target instance, click <strong>Manage</strong>.
