This article describes how to import a parameter.

Overview

If you want to modify the values of parameters in bulk, you can modify them by importing parameters.

A general instance, disaster recovery instance, and read-only instance support modifying parameters in bulk.

Some parameters will be valid only after you reboot the instance. For more information about these parameters, see prompt messages in the console.

Prerequisites

You have successfully created an instance. In addition, the value of the parameters of the citywide and remote disaster recovery instance are identical with those of the general instance.

Parameters of a read-only instance can be modified independently from parameters of a general instance. You can modify the parameter value of a citywide or remote read-only instance respectively in the RDS console. The parameter value of a citywide instance can be different from that of a remote read-only instance or a general instance.

After you modify parameters of the instance that needs to be rebooted, the system will automatically reboot the general instance, citywide read-only instance, or remote read-only instance.

In the process of rebooting an instance, the system will be interrupted in seconds. We recommend that you modify parameters in the time segment you set.

Procedures

1. Log in to the RDS Console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click RDS-PostgreSQL to enter the DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL page.

3. Select the target region.

4. In the Operation column of the target instance, click Manage.
