<p>This article describes how to open a whitelist of an RDS instance.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>You have successfully created a general instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/Getting_Started.RDS_PostgreSQL.Create_RDS_PostgreSQL" target="_blank">Create an RDSPostgreSQL Instance</a>.</li> <li>You have successfully create an ECS. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/Getting_Started.RDS_PostgreSQL.Create_ECS" target="_blank">Create an ECS</a>.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>An RDS PostgreSQL instance currently cannot be accessed by a BMS in the East China region and BMS is not supported to open a whitelist in the East China region.</li> <li>If you cannot access a database instance from a whitelisted ECS, please submit a <a href="http://srvbot.paic.com.cn/#/app/requestManagement/request-new/94f98214-f02b-41a0-80a1-0ab4511bf7f2" target="_blank">Srvbot</a> request to enable the firewall service for the instance access.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="https://pinganyun.com/console/rds/instance" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Select the target region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; Click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>operation</strong> column of the target instance and select <strong>White List</strong> tab.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; On the section of <strong>Whitelist</strong>, click <strong>Create Whitelist</strong> in the upper right corner and enter the <strong>Add White List</strong> page.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207144540-181e22f697b1.png" style="height:214px; width:747px" /></p> <p>6.&nbsp; Check off the network segment of the ECS and click <strong>Save</strong>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Result</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; In the <strong>Whitelist</strong> area, the <strong>Status</strong> of target subnet IP shows as <strong>Pending</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207144548-1ec1026d94e2.png" style="height:119px; width:830px" /></p> <p>2.&nbsp; When the <strong>Status</strong> of target subnet IP is <strong>Available</strong>, it means that the whitelist is successfully opened.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207144555-1d9f37c39d17.png" style="height:118px; width:830px" /></p>
