Authorize Permission to Account and Database

<p>This article introduces how to authorize read-only or reading and writing permission of designated database to an account in the console.</p> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>After an account and database are created in the console, you need to authorize permission to the account and database. You can authorize the permission of accessing a designated database to an account, and the permission of database being accessed by a designated account. For more information about account management, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_MySQL.Account.Modify_Permissions" target="_blank">Modify Permission</a>. This article takes an example of authorizing a designated account with permission of accessing the database.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>You have successfully created a user. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/Getting_Started.RDS_MySQL.Create_User" target="_blank">Create a User</a>.</li> <li>You have successfully created a database. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/Getting_Started.RDS_MySQL.Create_Database" target="_blank">Create Database</a> .</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-MySQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-MySQL</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Select the target region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; Click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>operation</strong> column of the target instance and select <strong>Database</strong> tab.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; Click <strong>Modify Permissions</strong> in the <strong>operation</strong> column of the target database.</p> <p>6.&nbsp; Select the target account in the list of <strong>Unauthorized Account</strong> and click <img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207115118-1d92fe479c3f.png" style="height:30px; margin:0px; width:35px" />.</p> <p>7.&nbsp; Select the target account in the list of <strong>Authorized Account</strong> and click <strong>Read and write</strong> or <strong>Read-only</strong> to authorize a designated account with permission of accessing the database.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207115125-14b7c7e29258.png" style="height:333px; width:830px" /></p> <p>8.&nbsp; Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Result</strong></span></p> <p>In the <strong>Database</strong> tab, <strong>Binding Account</strong> of the target database shows the target account and its permission is the target permission.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200207115133-17585ef39294.png" style="height:144px; width:830px" /></p>
