Restart a General Instance

<p>This article describes how to restart a general instance.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <p>You have successfully created an instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_MySQL.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>In the process of restarting a general instance, the system will be interrupted in seconds. In order to reduce impact on the business, we recommend that you restart an instance in the time segment you set.</li> <li>In the process of restarting a general instance, the instance cannot be read or written.</li> <li>The general instance will be simultaneously restarted with the intra-city DR instance. If you have successfully created a remote DR instance, the remote DR instance will be restarted at the same time.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</li> <li>In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-MySQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-MySQL</strong> page.</li> <li>Select the target region.</li> <li>Click <strong>Restart</strong> in the <strong>operation</strong> column of the target instance and enter the dialog box of <strong>Restart Instance</strong>.</li> <li>Click <strong>Confirm</strong> to enter the <strong>Verification Code</strong> page.</li> <li>The system will send a verification code to the mobile phone that is bound to your account. Fill in the verification code and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</li> <li>The <strong>Status</strong> of the target instance is <strong>Restarting</strong>.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Result</strong></span></p> <p>After the target instance is successfully restarted, its <strong>Status</strong> is <strong>Running</strong>.</p>
