Reboot a Read-Only Instance

<p>This article describes how to reboot a read-only instance.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <p>You have successfully created a read-only instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_PostgreSQL.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Read_Only_Instance" target="_blank">Create a Read-Only Instance</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>In the process of rebooting a read-only instance, the system will be interrupted in seconds. In order to reduce impact on the business, we recommend that you reboot an instance in the <strong>time segment</strong> you set.</li> <li>In the process of rebooting a read-only instance, the instance cannot be read.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</li> <li>In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> page.</li> <li>Select the target region.</li> <li>In the <strong>Operations </strong>column of the target instance, click <strong>Restart</strong> to enter the dialog box of <strong>Restart Instance</strong>.</li> <li>Click <strong>Confirm</strong> to enter the <strong>Verification Code</strong> page.</li> <li>The system will send a verification code to the mobile phone that is bound to the account. Fill in the verification code and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</li> <li>The <strong>Status</strong> of the target instance is <strong>Restarting</strong>.</li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Result</strong></span></p> <p>After the target instance is successfully restarted, its <strong>Status</strong> is <strong>Running</strong>.</p>
