<p>This article describes how to restore backup.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Prerequisites</strong></span></p> <p>There is backup data in the instances. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_MySQL.Backup_and_Restore.Automated_Backup" target="_blank">Automatic Backup</a> and <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_MySQL.Backup_and_Restore.Manual_Backup" target="_blank">Manual Backup</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; The restored data is stored in a temporary recovery instance newly created by RDS MySQL service of Ping An Cloud:</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull;&nbsp; The region of the newly created temporary recovery instance is the same as that of a general instance. The temporary recovery instance will not be charged additionally.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull;&nbsp; The newly created instance can be stored for a maximum of seven days and will be released after seven days.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; The newly created temporary recovery instance adopts the minimum computing specifications. Its storage specification is the same as that of the general instance on which the restoring operation is performed.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; After the temporary recovery instance is successfully created, the computing and storage specifications will not change.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; Each general instance manages a maximum of three temporary recovery instances. If you need to create the fourth one, release the previously created temporary recovery instances first.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; The temporary recovery instance will automatically create an account. Its username is temp_root and it has the read/write permission of the instance.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Procedures</strong></span></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/rds/overview" target="_blank">RDS Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>RDS-MySQL</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-MySQL</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Select the target region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; In the <strong>Operations </strong>column of the target instance, click <strong>Manage</strong>. The current time is 12:00 of May 5, 2019. During this period, two manual backups were performed at 14:00 of May 2, 2019 and 20:00 of May 3, 2019 respectively. If you restore data with the following two methods:</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp; Restore <strong>by backup set</strong>: You can restore database by backup time. Select <strong>Information</strong> tab and you can view <strong>Instance Name, Domain Name, Port, Recovery Source,</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Restore till expiry date, and other information</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200607093554-1c58430a976c.png" style="height:184px; width:830px" /></p> <p><strong>&bull;&nbsp; &nbsp;Create a Whitelist</strong></p> <p>The region of a temporary recovery instance is identical with that of a general instance. For more information about creating a whitelist of the temporary recovery instance, you can see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_MySQL.Security_Management.Create_Whitelist" target="_blank">Create a Whitelist</a> of a general instance. You can click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>Operations </strong>column of the target temporary recovery instance and select <strong>Account</strong> tab.
