Overview

<p>In order to improve high reliability of RDS database and prevent data loss or damage in database or tables, RDS MySQL of Ping An Cloud provides automatic and manual backup. You can restore backup data by backup set or time.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Automatic Backup</strong></span></p> <p>Relational Database Service (RDS) will back up data and logs of RDS MySQL instances in backup cycle and backup startup period based on the automatic backup policy. It will store backup data and logs based on the retention period you set.</p> <p>The automatic backup of the system is enabled by default. The backup cycle is daily and retention period of data and logs is one month. You can manually disable automatic backup in the RDS console.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Manual Backup</strong></span></p> <p>You can manually back up data and logs of RDS MySQL instances in the RDS console at any time. The system will keep retaining the manual backup until you delete it or release the database.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Restore Backup</strong></span></p> <p>RDS MySQL service supports restoring backup. You can restore backup data in the new temporary recovery instances created by Ping An Cloud RDS service by backup set or time. The temporary recovery instances will be stored for a maximum of seven days by Ping An Cloud.</p>
