<p>This article describes how to enable automatic renewal after an RDS PostgreSQL instance is created but the automatic renewal is not enabled.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Overview</strong></span></p> <p>If the RDS PostgreSQL instance you purchased is of subscription (monthly) and expected to be continuously used at its expiration, you can enable automatic renewal:</p> <ul> <li>Automatic renewal can be enabled when you create an instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/User_Guide_RDS_PostgreSQL.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a>; if you do not want <strong>automatic renewal</strong> after it is enabled, you can manually disable it.</li> <li>If automatic renewal is not enabled when you create an instance, you can also manually enable it after creating the instance.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span></p> <ol> <li>Make sure the account balance is sufficient.</li> <li>When you create an RDS PostgreSQL instance, the billing method is subscription (monthly)</li> <li>Automatic renewal cycle of the system is one month.</li> <li>Only automatic renewal for a general instance and read-only instance is provided. On the <strong>DBPaaS for RDS-PostgreSQL</strong> page, select the target region and click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>operation</strong> column of the target cluster instance.
