Create an ECS

For the purpose of security, currently Ping An Cloud does not support an RDS PostgreSQL instance to be connected via the Internet. You need to connect to the RDS PostgreSQL instance via an ECS of Ping An Cloud. This article describes how to create an ECS.

Prerequisites

  1. You have successfully created a VPC in the target region.
  2. You have created network and set subnet in the created VPC.

Usage Guidelines

The ECS is required to be created in the same region as RDS PostgreSQL. This article takes an example of DMZ network domain.

Procedures

1.  Log in to the ECS Console.

2.  In the left navigation pane, click Instance to enter the Instance Management page.

3.  Select the region of RDS PostgreSQL to create an ECS. For more information, see Create an ECS.

Result

In the left navigation pane, click Instance. You will see the new ECS instance in running status on the Instance Management page.
