Create a Whitelist

<p>This article describes how to create a whitelist.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Overview</span></strong></p> <p>After a DDS instance is created successfully, you can log in to DDS database to operate. Ping An Cloud DDS supports MongoDB agreement, so users can use any general MongoDB client to connect to the DDS instance. For security purposes, Ping An Cloud does not support direct connection from the public Internet but from Ping An Cloud ECS to DDS instance.</p> <p>By default, DDS is inaccessible. Therefore, you shall create a whitelist in the DDS management console and allow ESC to access the DDS instance. Using whitelists properly can improve DDS access security.</p> <p>The general instance and remote disaster recovery instance require you to create a whitelist.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Limitations</span></strong></p> <p>DDS is not available for BMS access in East China.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Prerequisites</span></strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; You have successfully created the instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/Manual.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a> or <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/Manual.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Slave_Instance" target="_blank">Create a Remote Disaster Recovery Instance</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; You have successfully created an ECS. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/Start.Create_ECS" target="_blank">Create ECS</a>.</p> <p><span style="font-size:18px"><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></span><br /> If you cannot access a database instance from a whitelisted ECS, please submit a <a href="http://srvbot.paic.com.cn/#/app/requestManagement/request-new/94f98214-f02b-41a0-80a1-0ab4511bf7f2" target="_blank">Srvbot</a> request to enable the firewall service for the instance access.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Procedures</span></strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/mongodb/overview" target="_blank">DDS Management Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>DDS Cluster</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Select the target region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; In the <strong>Operations</strong> column of the target instance, click <strong>Manage</strong>, and select <strong>White List</strong> tab of <strong>Configuration Management</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20202508092958-1d2ebc109b2f.png" style="height:20px; margin:0px; width:80px" />: You can also select <strong>Information</strong> tab of <strong>Configuration Management</strong>, click <strong>Create Whitelist</strong> next to the <strong>Domain Name</strong> in <strong>Basic Info</strong> area, and skip to <strong>White List</strong> tab.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; Click <strong>Create Whitelist</strong> in the upper-right corner of the <strong>Whitelist</strong> area, and enter the <strong>Add White List</strong> page.</p> <p>6.&nbsp; Select the network segment of the target ECS, and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20202508093034-1be0007794e1.png" style="height:221px; width:757px" /></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Result</span></strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; In the <strong>Whitelist</strong> area, the <strong>Status</strong> of the target <strong>Subnet IP</strong> is <strong>Pending</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20202508093046-1130b11f918c.png" style="height:123px; width:830px" /></p> <p>2.&nbsp; The <strong>Status</strong> of the target <strong>Subnet IP</strong> is <strong>Available</strong>.
