Degrade Instance Specification

<p>This article describes how to degrade the computing specification of instances.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Overview</span></strong></p> <p>When a general instance is created successfully, you can degrade computing specification of instance in the capacity management of the DDS management console.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Prerequisites</span></strong></p> <p>You have successfully created a general instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/Manual.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Usage Guidelines</span></strong></p> <p>1. Only computing specification supports degrading.</p> <p>2. When computing specification is degraded, your application and database may arise in intermittent disconnection. You shall reestablish the connection. We recommend that you upgrade computing specification within <strong>Time Segment</strong>.</p> <p>3. When you degrade computing specification of the general instance, you will synchronously degrade computing specification of disaster recovery instance if you create a disaster recovery instance. Computing specification of the disaster recovery instance will be consistent with that of the general instance.</p> <p>4. After you successfully upgraded capacity, you will be billed by the new memory specifications. For more information about billing, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/MongoDB.Overview" target="_blank">Product Price</a>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Procedures</span></strong></p> <p>1. Log in to <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/mongodb/overview" target="_blank">DDS Management Console</a>.</p> <p>2. In the left navigation pane, click <strong>DDS Cluster</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page.</p> <p>3. Select the target region.</p> <p>4. Click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>Operations</strong> column of the target instance, and select <strong>Capacity</strong> tab of <strong>Configuration Management</strong>.</p> <p>5. Click <strong>Configuration Change</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20202508103558-15a466bc97fc.png" style="height:228px; width:822px" /></p> <p>6. In the <strong>Compute Spec</strong> area, select memory specification you need to degrade to. Click <strong>Settings</strong> to enter the <strong>Compute Spec</strong> page, click <strong>Confirm</strong> to enter the <strong>Order Confirmation</strong> page, and click <strong>CONFIRM DEGRADE</strong>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Result</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Method 1:</strong></p> <p>1. On the <strong>Payment Result</strong> page, click <strong>VIEW ORDER</strong> to enter the <strong>Order Management</strong> page.</p> <p>2. The <strong>Status</strong> of target order is <strong>Finished</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Method 2:</strong></p> <p>1. In the left navigation pane, click <strong>DDS Cluster</strong> to select target region on the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page. You can view the <strong>Status </strong>of the target region is <strong>Downgrading</strong>.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20202508103618-16e116fa9425.png" style="height:188px; width:830px" /></p> <p>2. After degrading, the <strong>Status</strong> of the target instance is <strong>Running</strong>.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Method 3:</strong></p> <p>1. In the left navigation pane, click DDS Cluster, and select the target instance on the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page.</p> <p>2. Click<strong> Manage</strong> in the<strong> Operations</strong> column of the target instance, and select the <strong>Capacity tab </strong>in<strong> Configuration Management</strong>. In the <strong>Capacity Management</strong> area, you can view the targeted values of <strong>CPU</strong>, <strong>Database Memory,</strong> or <strong>Storage </strong>of the instance.</p>
