Create a Remote Disaster Recovery Instance

<p>This article describes how to create a disaster recovery instance.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Overview</span></strong></p> <p>To ensure high availability of business, we recommend that you create a disaster recovery instance within the period for maintenance you set. When the region where a general instance is located becomes faulty and cannot be connected to, the business can be switched into a remote disaster recovery instance for proper service running.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Prerequisites</span></strong></p> <p>You have successfully created a general instance. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/mongodb/Manual.Instance_Management.Create_Instance.Create_Common_Instance" target="_blank">Create a General Instance</a>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Usage Guidelines</span></strong></p> <p>1. A maximum of one remote disaster recovery instance can be created in each region.</p> <p>2. Computing specification and storage specification of remote disaster recovery instance is consistent with that of the general instance.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Procedures</span></strong></p> <p>1. Log in to <a href="http://pinganyun.com/console/mongodb/overview" target="_blank">DDS Management Console</a>.</p> <p>2. In the left navigation pane, click <strong>DDS Cluster</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page.</p> <p>3. Select the target region.</p> <p>4. Click <strong>Manage</strong> in the <strong>Operations</strong> column of the target general instance, and select <strong>Information</strong> tab in <strong>Configuration Management</strong>.</p> <p>5. In the right area of <strong>Information,</strong> click <strong>Create Remote Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Create Remote Instance </strong>page.</p> <p>6. In the <strong>Common Instance Information</strong> area, view and confirm the basic information of the general instance.</p> <p>7. Click <strong>Confirm Order</strong>.</p> <p>9. On the <strong>Order Confirmation</strong> page, confirm purchase information and click <strong>CONFIRM OPEN</strong>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Result</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Method 1:</strong></p> <p>1. On the <strong>Payment Result</strong> page, click <strong>VIEWORDER</strong> to enter the <strong>Order Management</strong> page.</p> <p>2. The <strong>Status</strong> of target order is <strong>Finished</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Method 2:</strong></p> <p>In the left navigation pane, click <strong>DDS Cluster</strong> to enter the <strong>DBPaaS for DDS</strong> page. Select the region where a remote disaster recovery instance is located, and view the new DDS remote disaster recovery instance. The <strong>Instance Type</strong> is <strong>Dataguard Instance</strong>.
