Create a Whitelist Entry

To permit the connection to the Redis instance, whitelist the network segment for the ECS instance on the Redis instance.

Limitations

Currently, Bare Metal Service (BMS) in the East China region does not support whitelisting.

Prerequisites

  1. You have successfully created a Redis instance. For more information, see Create a Redis Instance.
  2. You have successfully created an ECS instance. For more information, see Create an ECS Instance.

Usage Guidelines
If you cannot access a database instance from a whitelisted ECS, please submit a Srvbot request to enable the firewall service for the instance access.

Procedures

1.     Log in to the Redis Console.

2.     In the left navigation pane, click Redis Cluster to enter the DBPaaS for Redis page.

3.     Select the target region.

4.     Click Manage in the Operation column of the target instance.

5.     On the page that opens, click the Whitelist tab.

6.     In the Whitelist area, click Create Whitelist in the upper-right corner.

7.     In the dialog box that opens, select the network segment where the ECS instance resides, and then click Save.

 

Result

1.      In the Whitelist area, the status of the target subnet IP is Pending.

2.      The status of the target subnet IP becomes Available, indicating that the subnet IP is successfully whitelisted.
