How to Use

This article describes how to create a Redis instance and access the instance from a general Redis client.

For security reasons, Ping An Cloud currently does not support direct access to Redis instances from the public network. To access a Redis instance, first create an ECS instance and then install a Redis client on the ECS instance. The following figure describes the workflow to access a Redis instance :

Create a Redis instance: Create a Redis instance in any region according to your business needs.

Create an ECS instance: Create an ECS instance in the same region as the Redis instance.

Create a whitelist entry: By default, the Redis instance does not allow access from any network segments. Create a whitelist entry on the Redis instance to allow the ECS instance created in step 2 to access the Redis instance.

Access the Redis instance: Log in to the ECS instance, and install the Redis client on the ECS instance. You can access the Redis instance by specifying the access domain name and port number of the instance, and the password set when creating the Redis instance.
