Billing Overview Ping An Cloud Redis supports the following billing methods based on the memory specifications: •   Subscription (monthly)—You pay for an instance when creating it. <img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20201507095033-1f46728a9508.png" style="height:20px; margin:0px; width:80px" />:     1.   The billing cycle is 1 month. If you use an instance for 1 day and then release it, a monthly fee will be charged.     2.   The following renewal methods are available:           Manual Renewal—You can manually renew the resources you have purchased in the console.           Auto Renewal—After you enable auto renewal for an instance, the system checks your account balance before the instance expires. If the balance is sufficient, it will automatically renew your subscription. If the balance is insufficient, the system will notify you to top up your balance. •   Pay-As-You-Go (hourly)—The system generates a billing order every day and automatically deducts the order fee from your account balance. When you select a billing method, following these restrictions and guidelines: <ol> <li>If you use the service for a long term, we recommend that you use the monthly subscription billing method. A longer purchase plan brings a higher discount.</li> <li>If you use the service for a short term, we recommend that you use the pay-as-you-go billing method. You can release idle instances to save costs.</li> <li>Currently, the subscription billing method and the pay-as-you-go billing method cannot be swapped.</li> </ol> Billing Rules You are billed based on the instance type, instance specification (memory specification), billing type (subscription or pay-as-you-go), and the quantity of instances. <img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20201507095033-1f46728a9508.png" style="height:20px; margin:0px; width:80px" />: The charge covers the fees incurred by both the master and subordinate servers. Usage Guidelines <ol> <li>If you select the 12-month (annual) plan, fill in the <a href="http://yun.pingan.com.cn/console/ticket/ticketCreate" target="_blank">Ticket</a> after completing the payment. Refund Rules             If you purchase Ping An Cloud Redis with monthly subscription and release the Redis instance before it expires, you can apply for a refund for the remaining billing cycles through <a href="http://yun.pingan.com.cn/console/ticket/ticketCreate" target="_blank">Ticket</a>. Refund Example If Xiao'an purchases an 8 GB Redis cluster instance on June 1 with monthly subscription for 3 months, Xiao'an needs to make a one-time payment of 2139 CNY (713 CNY/month × 3 months = 2139 CNY). The Redis Cluster instance expires on September 1. The refund and payment vary as follows: • If, on June 15, Xiao'an releases the instance, the refund is 1426 CNY (713 CNY/month × 2 months = 1426 CNY). • If, on June 16, Xiao'an upgrades the instance capacity to 16 GB, Xiao'an needs to pay 2136 CNY ((1425 CNY/month - 713 CNY/month) × 3 months = 2136 CNY). • If, on June 17, Xiao'an downgrades the instance capacity to 4 GB, the refund is 714 CNY ((713 CNY/month - 356 CNY/month) × 2 months = 714 CNY). • If on June 18, Xiao'an manually renews the instance for two months, Xiao'an needs to pay 1426 CNY (713 yuan/month × 2 months = 1426 CNY). The Redis Cluster instance will expire on November 1.
