Create an Instance

This article describes how to create a Redis instance.

Usage Guidelines

  1. You cannot modify the region and availability zone of an existing Redis instance.
  2. The instance name is automatically generated by the system and it is not modifiable. To centrally manage instances, you can tag each instance. For more information, see Tag an Instance.

Procedures

1.     Log in to the Redis Console.

2.     In the left navigation pane, click Redis Cluster to enter the Cloud Database Management page.

3.     In the upper-right corner of the page, click Create CLUSTER to enter the Create Instance page.

4.     Create a Redis instance as described in the following table:

Configuration item

Description

Region

Region for the Redis instance.

Zone

Zone for the Redis instance.

Database Version

Redis protocol version:

  • Redis Cluster 3.2
  • Redis Cluster 4.0

Schema Type

Redis instance type. Currently, only the dual-host high availability is supported.

Memory Size

Memory specification for the Redis instance.

Password Settings

Password for logging in to the Redis instance.

  • The password length is 8 to 32 characters.
  • The password must contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits.

Purchase Options

Payment method for the Redis instance:

  • By hour.
  • By month.

: If you select by month, select the purchase duration and optionally enable auto renewal.

  • The purchase duration is 1 to 60 months. The default is 1 month.
  • The auto renewal period is 1 month.

Purchase Quantity

Number of the Redis instances you want to buy. The value range is 1 to 5.

5.     Click PURCHASE to enter the Order Confirmation page.

6.     Click CONFIRM OPEN.

Result

Method 1:

On the Payment Result page, click VIEW ORDER to enter the Order Management page. The order is in Finished status.

Method 2:

In the left navigation pane, click Redis Cluster to enter the Cloud Database Management page. Select the target region to view the newly created Redis instance. The instance is in Running status.
