Does Redis support data persistence?

Yes. When the master and subordinate nodes of a Redis instance fail at the same time, the instance uses the RDB and AOF persistence schemes to persist data to the disk to ensure the high reliability of performance and data.

Currently, you cannot manually define the method or frequency of data persistence.

Must I set a password for Redis?

Yes. You must set a password to enhance the security of your data.

Can a subordinate Redis node be a read-only instance?

No. Currently, a subordinate Redis node cannot be a read-only instance. When the master node fails, the subordinate node becomes the master node to ensure the high availability of Redis.

Can I modify a Redis parameter?

The parameter management feature of the Redis service allows you to configure advanced parameters of the Redis engine to optimize the Redis performance. Some parameters take effect only after you restart the instance. For more information, see Parameter Management.

Can I change the name of a Redis instance?

No. After you create a Redis instance, the instance name is automatically generated by the system and cannot be modified. However, you can tag instances for central management. For more information, see Tag an Instance.
