Remove a Security Groups from an Instance

This article describes how to remove a security group from an instance.

Prerequisites

The security group is successfully assigned to an instance. For more information, see Assign a Security Groups to an Instance.

Usage Guidelines

A security group cannot be restored once removed. Remove a security group with caution.

Procedures

1.  Log in to the Dedicated Host Console.

2.  In the left navigation pane, click Security Group to enter the Security Group page.

3.  Click the name of the target security group.

4.  On the ECS Instance tab, click Delete in the Operation column of the target instance.

5.  In the dialog box that opens, click Confirm.

Result

You will see an Operation succeeded message at the bottom of the Security Group page, and information of the previously associated instance is removed from the Instance tab.
