Assign a Security Group to an Instance

<p>You can assign a maximum of three security groups to a Dedicated Instance. This upper limit is fixed and cannot be changed. This article describes how to assign a security group to an instance.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have successfully created a Dedicated Instance. For more information, see Create a Dedicated Instance.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You have successfully created a security group. For more information, see Create a Security Group.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Make sure a Dedicated Instance and its security groups are in the same VPC and network domain.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; Log in to the <a href="#https://pinganyun.com/console/dedicatedEcs/host" target="_blank">Dedicated Host Console</a>.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Security Group</strong> to enter the <strong>Security Group</strong> page.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; Click the name of the target security group.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; On the <strong>ECS </strong><strong>Instance</strong> tab, click <strong>Add</strong>.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; On the <strong>Binding </strong>page, select the target instance, and then click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>You will see an <strong>Operation </strong><strong>s</strong><strong>ucceeded</strong> message at the bottom of the page after the security group is successfully assigned to the instance, and the associated instance is displayed on the <strong>ECS</strong> <strong>Instance</strong> tab.</p>
