Log in to the Windows instance

<p>This article describes how to log in to a Windows instance through MSTSC.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; You have successfully created Dedicated Instances. For more information, see the article for creating a Dedicated Instance.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; You have applied for a public IP address. For more information, see the article for applying for a public IP address.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; You have configured access rules for the security group in the inbound and outbound direction. For more information, see the article for configuring security group rules.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; Make sure the network connectivity between the login tool and the target Dedicated Instance is available. For example, the default port 3389 is not blocked by a firewall.</p> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp; On your local computer, press the <strong>Windows </strong>and <strong>R</strong> keys to open the <strong>Run</strong> dialog box.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; In the <strong>Open (O) </strong>field, enter <strong>mstsc</strong>.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; In the <strong>Remote Desktop Connection</strong> dialog box that opens, enter the public IP address of the instance in the <strong>Computer </strong>field<strong>.</strong></p> <p>4.&nbsp; Click <strong>Connect</strong>.</p> <p>5.&nbsp; In the <strong>Windows Security</strong> dialog box that opens, click <strong>Use Another Account</strong>, and then enter the administrator account and login password of the instance<strong>.</strong></p> <p><strong>Note</strong>: You can view the random password on the <strong>Instance Detail</strong> page.</p> <p>6.&nbsp; Click <strong>Confirm</strong> to log in to the Windows instance.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
