For more information, see <a class="xref" href="https://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/storage/ebs/quickstart.createdrive.separately" target="_blank">Create an EBS Disk</a>. </p> </section> <section class="section context"><div class="tasklabel"><h2 class="doc-tairway">About this task</h2></div> <p class="p">When the EBS disk capacity purchased for the first time cannot meet your needs or the capacity is nearly insufficient, you can create a new EBS disk and mount it to the same cloud server. You can also expand the capacity of the original EBS disk online. </p> <p class="p">The operation through the console is only an expansion of the disk capacity, not the partition capacity. If you want to extend the disk partition, you need to operate under the operating system of the cloud server. </p> </section> <section class="section limitation" id="exconsole__a2v_n1r_rlb"><div class="tasklabel"><h2 class="doc-tairway">Limitation</h2></div> <ul class="ul" id="exconsole__ul_rbj_s1r_rlb"> <li class="li">General EBS and SSD EBS disk capacity expansion is not supported. </li> <li class="li">Only data disk capacity can be expanded, and the maximum capacity is 2000 G. </li> <li class="li">If a data disk is creating snapshots, do not expand the disk capacity. </li> <li class="li">Disk capacity can only be expanded. Capacity reduction is not supported. For example, the size of a data disk is 20 G. A snapshot is created at t1, and the data disk capacity is expanded to 40 G at t2.
