<p>This article describes how to release an external ELB instance.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Overview</span></strong></p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;The system will check the status of the instance, when you choose to release an hourly paid instance. If you release a stopped instance has been stopped, the release operation will not trigger fee deduction. If you release a running instance, the release operation will trigger fee deduction.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;When releasing a pay-as-you-go instance, there will be no fee deduction for a stopped instance, and for a running instance, the unpaid flow will be counted for fee deduction.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Usage Guidelines</span></strong></p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;If you release unexpired prepaid instances, the paid amount will not be refunded. Perform this task with caution.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;An ELB instance will not be restored once being released. Perform this task with caution.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Prerequisites</span></strong></p> <p>You cannot continue to use the created external ELB instance.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Procedures</span></strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;Log in to the <a href="https://pinganyun.com/console/loadBalance/overview" target="_blank">ELB Console</a>.</p> <p>2. In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance Management</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3. Select the target region to view the existing ELB instances of that region.</p> <p>4.&nbsp;Click the ︙ icon in the<strong> Operation</strong> column of the target instance, and click <strong>Release</strong> to open the <strong>Release</strong> dialog box. Choose to execute one of the following two operations based on your actual needs:</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20201607111345-13f6b3e5936d.png" style="height:326px; width:830px" /></p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;<strong>Immediate Release</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;Check <strong>Immediate Release</strong>, click <strong>Confirm</strong>, then the <strong>Verification Code</strong> dialog box opens and your smartphone will receive a verification code.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20201607111411-1146ae299dff.png" style="height:157px; width:772px" /></p> <p>2.&nbsp;Enter the verification code and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>3.&nbsp;If there are dependent resources, such as ELB listeners and ELB servers etc., a dialog box about whether you are sure about releasing the following dependent resources will open, click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;<strong>Timing Release</strong></p> <p>1.&nbsp;Select&nbsp;<strong>Timing Release.</strong></p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20201607111435-14ce552e923c.png" style="height:220px; width:767px" /></p> <p>2.&nbsp;Set the release date and time.</p> <p>3.&nbsp;Click<strong> Confirm</strong>, and a <strong>Note</strong> dialog box opens, asking <strong>Are you sure you want to release the following instance</strong> at the time you have set.</p> <p>4.&nbsp;Click <strong>Confirm</strong>, the dialog box for <strong>Verification Code</strong> will open, and you will receive verification code on your phone.</p> <p>5.&nbsp;Enter the verification code and click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>6.&nbsp;If there are dependent resources, such as ELB listeners and ELB servers, the following dialog box about whether you are sure about releasing the following dependent resources will open, click <strong>Delete</strong>.</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px">Result</span></strong></p> <p>Select the target region on the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page to view that the newly deleted instance no longer exists on the page.</p>
