This feature helps you classify and search ELB instances. Each tag includes a pair of tag name (or key) and tag value (or value.) You can bind an existed tag to an instance or add a custom tag.
Prerequisites
You have successfully created an ELB instance.
Procedures
1. Log in to the ELB Console.
2. For an external and internal ELB instance, in the left navigation pane, click Instance Management to enter the Instance Management page. For a classic ELB instance, in the left navigation pane, click Instance Management (Classic) to enter the Instance Management (Classic) page.
3. Select the target region to view the existing ELB instances of that region.
4. Click the ︙ icon in the Operation column of the target instance, and click Edit Tag to open the Edit Tag dialog box.
5. Add existed tags or custom tags as described in the following table.

Tag area |
The selected tag will appear in this area. You can click the × icon to the right of the tag to delete the selected tag. |
Bind |
Select the keys and values of the tag in the Bind drop-down list and add them to the tag area. |
Add tag |
Enter a pair of custom key and value in the Key and Value fields of the Add Tag area. Click Add to add the pair to the tag area.
• You can enter Chinese characters, English letters, digits, at signs (@), underscores (_), or hyphens (-) in the field. • The field supports a maximum of 45 characters. |
6. Click Confirm, and you will see an Operation succeeded message at the bottom of the page.
