During the installation, the host needs to connect to the Internet, and the current user should have sudo permission.</div></li> <li class="li">Click <span class="ph uicontrol">To Create</span> below installation command to obtain tenant AK (ArGUS_AGENT_ACCESSKEYID) and tenant SK (ARGUS_AGENT_ACCESSKEYSECRET).<div class="note note note_note"><span class="note__title">Note:</span> You can also click the drop-down menu next to the user’s name in the upper-right corner of the Argus console and select <span class="ph uicontrol">Access Key Information</span> to enter <span class="ph uicontrol">Account Center</span>, then select <span class="ph uicontrol">Access Key</span> to obtain AK and SK information.</div></li> </ol> </section> <section class="section" id="userguaid__section_clw_vgg_4jb"><h2 class="doc-tairway">Step 2: Obtain installation command</h2> <p class="p">Log in to the host which is needed to be monitored, then replace “$AK” and “$SK” with the access keys of the current account. Then paste and execute the operation command in the host Shell to install Agent.</p> </section> <section class="section" id="userguaid__section_rcw_wgg_4jb"><h2 class="doc-tairway">Step 3: Start service</h2> <p class="p">After the installation of Agent, the service will automatically start, and will be added into start-up programs. The service name is <strong class="ph b">argus-monitor</strong>, and the service will run under designated user with the username "<strong class="ph b">pacloud</strong>". If the user does not exist, the system will automatically create one. </p> <div class="note note note_note"><span class="note__title">Note:</span> <ul class="ul" id="userguaid__ul_oth_fqs_njb"> <li class="li">The default installation directory of Agent is /home/pacloud/argus/monitor, and custom installation directory is not supported currently.</li> <li class="li"> The storage position of Agent log is /home/pacloud/argus/common/agent-config.yml. This file marks the information of a customer host, and updating or reinstalling Agent will not delete or modify this file. If the user deletes the file manually, the user must execute the installation command again to report the monitoring data.</li> </ul> </div> </section>
