Configuring a scaling group

Auto scaling configuration refers to set the ECS instance template for the auto scaling group to carry out auto scaling. When creating auto scaling configuration, you can specify the parameters of an ECS instance which include instance specifications, image type, disk and network etc.. Also, you can modify the current auto scaling configuration so as to meet new business requirements rapidly.

Prerequisite

1. You have made a custom image. For applications that have enabled auto scaling, first apply for an ECS to install and deploy the application in Ping An Cloud’s Console, and set the application to auto-start. The status data are stored in a stand-alone server separately and the data or logs are stored in databases or log servers. Then, restart to make a custom image. For detailed procedures for creating a custom image, please refer to Create Custom Image.

2. There are sufficient available IPs in the subnet. Insufficient IPs will lead to the failure of the scaling activity of the auto scaling group.

Procedure

1.
