Create Group

Groups can be used to manage sub-account permissions in batches.

About this task

If there are multiple sub-accounts under one master account, you can classify and authorize sub-accounts with same accountabilities by creating groups to better manage the sub-accounts and their permissions.

The group management for sub-accounts can be applied in the following scenarios:

  • When the user accountability of a sub-account changes, it is only necessary to transfer the sub-account to the group with the corresponding accountability while not affectting the permissions of other sub-accounts in the group.
  • When group permissions change, you can change the policy of the group to change the permission of sub-accounts in the group.

Procedure

  1. Use the master account or a sub-account with relevant permissions to log in to the RAM Console.
  2. Click Group in the left nagivation bar.
  3. Click +Create on the upper right corner of the page.
  4. On the Create Group page, configure the group name, display name, and description.
  5. After the completion, click Confirm.
