Argus is the monitoring service provided by Ping An Cloud for its users. Cloud Monitor Argus can be used to check real-time performance and alarm history of the cloud server, cloud disk, database and other resources. You can also define the metrics of important resources and alarm notifications, control the utilization of resources and guarantee stable operation of applications.
Once the resources are created, Ping An Cloud backstage will initialize an alarm model, and start real-time monitoring. You can make changes as per business requirements, or leave it unchanged.
Apart from the default metrics in the system, you can define business metrics based on individual needs, as well as alarm rules and strategies.
For financial companies, the service also provides visualization of a batch of infographics, which directly and clearly presents the utilization status of all resources.
Users who have a Ping An Cloud account will receive the Cloud Monitor Argus service for free without the need for a plug-in.

The service monitors the performance of the user's cloud server, load balance, network quality, database, instances and other resources, and presents a visualization of their status. With self-defined metrics, O&M staff can conduct troubleshooting timely and precisely.
Users can configure an alarm model for each business module that is connected to its internal resources. It is possible to apply uniformed models to an expanded module and also modify alarm strategies by editing alarm models.
Contacts and contact groups are the basis of sending alarm notifications. Users have to create and manage contacts and contact groups. The system will send alarm notifications in various forms (phone, text message or e-mail) to corresponding contacts according to the severity of the problem.
The monitor board can be used in scenarios such as business scanning tests. It presents the utilization of resources by businesses and related O&M data in real time, and dynamically presents performance changes during a certain period in the past. It helps O&M staff to understand business development trends and adjust resource strategies accordingly in a timely manner.
The alarm history page exhibits the alarm situation of all the current user’s cloud products. Users can filter alarms according to different dimensions, such as level, content, status and product types. This function helps O&M staff understand malfunctions and quickly locate the problem.
The monitor overview page provides various forms of reports to help users understand current failure rate, numbers of alarms at different levels and the variation trend of failure rates, etc.
